Technical and managerial improvements
ESA S.p.A. has implemented a project focused on four main areas of intervention. The primary objectives pursued through this initiative were as follows:
The project was the result of extensive research and consultation with various technology experts to identify the most suitable and effective solutions for achieving the objectives set.
The ESA environmental team, in collaboration with our technical, production and procurement departments, carefully examined the characteristics of the available machinery, carefully and accurately assessing the benefits and potential disadvantages of each product.
Among the most significant decisions were the acquisition of an automatic mixer for refractory cement, which represents the most significant investment, and a cardboard shredder, which contributes to waste reduction and improvement of the recycling process. In addition, in line with the objective of optimising production performance and reducing environmental impact, new internal metal spindles were purchased.
Another key step in this project was the implementation of a new environmental management system, which enabled ESA to achieve ISO 14001 certification. This international standard recognises the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible resource management. The adoption of this system required a significant investment in terms of time and resources, but has offered significant benefits, including more efficient resource management and improved traceability of business activities from a sustainability perspective.
