The SIAD Group
Partnership
Sustainability

SIAD and A2A are reinforcing their commitment to a sustainable industrial model with the signing of a new nine-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) aimed at supporting the growth of green energy production. Under the agreement, signed by A2A Energia, 87.6 GWh of electricity per year will be supplied from renewable sources, guaranteed in Base Load mode, ensuring constant availability throughout the year.
The energy will come from A2A Group plants located across the country, with a technological mix of approximately 70% wind power and 30% solar. This supply, which is equivalent to the annual consumption of around 32,400 households, will prevent about 44,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
For SIAD, electricity is a strategic investment area for generating positive environmental impact. The adoption of innovative solutions and the partnership with a key player like A2A underscore the Group’s commitment to accelerating the energy transition and promoting an increasingly responsible, resilient, and environmentally sustainable industrial model. Through this new PPA, SIAD Group advances its sustainability strategy, achieving a 25% reduction in emissions and 40% renewable energy use by 2026.
Fully aligned with the 2035 Strategic Plan, the PPA reaffirms A2A’s contribution to Italy’s decarbonization efforts and strengthens its role as a key enabler of the energy transition. Through targeted investments and positive support for businesses, the Group continues to drive the growth of renewable energy, making green power more widespread, accessible, and less vulnerable to market fluctuations. This agreement is a tangible example of how Power Purchase Agreements can support the integration of renewable sources into industrial energy use, promoting long-term procurement models that offer greater stability and sustainability.
The partnership between SIAD and A2A builds on a previous PPA signed in 2021 for the supply of green energy from a photovoltaic plant producing 15 GWh per year. Together, these initiatives reinforce a shared commitment to expanding the role of renewables within the country’s industrial sector.
