Quirino has the strength of one who always goes beyond, of one who never lets himself be conditioned by the Italianness that surrounds him; he is a man who is concrete and a dreamer at the same time, who sees opportunities even within objective difficulties.
He loves knowledge - from being the first professor of Chemistry at the Technical Institute of Bergamo he will become a professor at the Politecnico di Milano - and sees in study applied to industry an infallible method for creating new business opportunities.
Quirino is a man of science, but he is also a man of great creativity, a trait that led him to the porous mass, an epoch-making invention, which he successfully patented and which still today allows dangerous gases to be transported, even over long distances, in complete safety.
