The Tender To Nave ITALIA Foundation was set up by the Italian Navy and Yacht Club Italiano in 2007. The foundation promotes marine culture and seafaring as tools for education, training, qualification, rehabilitation, social inclusion and therapy.

Over the years, the Foundation has developed a number of projects relating to the following areas of activity:

• Disability: projects aimed at achieving greater autonomy and better quality of life for children, teenagers and adults with disabilities and their families;
• Mental health: projects for the enablement and rehabilitation of people suffering from mental illness or distress;
• Social, family and school issues: projects aimed at preventing early school leaving, family hardship, delinquency and drug addiction.

SIAD has been one of the Foundation’s promotion partners since 2007.
